Summer School in Translational Cancer Research 2017

Venue : Algarve, Portugal - Oct. 16-20, 2017 Registrations open ! Deadline - June 30th

The training and education of the next generation of researchers and clinicians is a fundamental step to tackle the increasingly complex challenge posed by the disease, and a still unmet need today. The hallmark of Cancer Core Europe hereby is the focus on translational cancer research.

The Summer School in Translational Cancer Research was initiated in 2011 by the EurocanPlatform – since 2016 the course is offered under the umbrella of Cancer Core Europe sponsoring its organization by collaboration between the DKTK (German Cancer Consortium), the EACR (The European Association for Cancer Research) and the OECI (Organization of European Cancer Institutes).

The Summer School will be the setting to attend presentations delivered by outstanding speakers from all Cancer Core Europe member Institutes but also from other leading centers in the field of cancer research. It will also be a prime occasion for young healthcare professionals from very diverse horizons and institutes to pool knowledge and ideas in the many interdisciplinary workgroups that will be held.
