CCE call for proposals:
Basket of Baskets (BoB) Data Mining
BoB resources
- Genomic data from the iPROFILER: hybrid capture panel (around 1500 patients), Nanostring (only a subset of cases) and targeted RNA seq (only a subset of cases).
- Clinical data from iPROFILER: tumor type (oncotree), gender, histology, and survival (Other clinical data can be collected retrospectively if funds are allocated).
- Clinical data from the iBASKET: complete CRF from clinical trial (patients M1, M3B, 2A, 2D +- others)
- Plasma samples from different timepoints of patients participating in iBASKET. (availability depending on the timepoint)
- Whole Exome Sequencing raw data mining. (M1: 43 patients)
- Raw data from RNA sequencing. (M1: 37 patients at least baseline)
- Additional to the data and expertise CCE offers, the selected project will be supported by up to 36.000€. (Have in mind to include a part of Budget for the all CCE participating centres to cover costs for all activities such as creation of an specific CRF if needed, local translations and submissions, ethics reports, data entries, etc.)
Application Criteria
- The scope of the call includes any project in the field of oncology, in stage of proposal or ongoing that will make use of the data detailed above.
- Participating centres must be members of Cancer Core Europe.
Formatting Guidelines
Project file including (1) Abstract (max 400 words), and (2) Up to 4-page summary outlining research hypothesis, objectives, expected results & impact, methodology and budget description; and (3) relevant annexes – see “proposal template” document. Graphical abstract, figures and supporting files may be included in the project file in an Annex and do not count towards the 3-page limit.
Evaluation
Evaluation will be based on (1) scientific quality and feasibility; (2) translational relevance; (3) potential for fostering cross-institutional collaboration
